The first coat
Hello everyone! Just wanted to see if anyone can post a photo of what the very first coat of paint is supposed to look like before the rendering begins? Is it an absolute thin wash or slightly thicker? Still trying out my paints to get the right consistency...mine tends to pool into a point once dried.

hi @rehana.sulaiman, just wanted to agree that I find pooling very challenging, especially for larger areas. Sometimes I have started with building up thin washes and letting them dry out and then burnish before adding another layer. with more practice I am more comfortable jumping in with a thick layer, but it's definitely intimidating!
