Hi there!

I'll be attending the Persian miniature earth course soon, and was wondering what sable brushes are best for watercolours?

I already have Windsor and Newton series 7 round brushes, but there are also one stroke, pointed round and rigger brushes. Which brush shape/type should I purchase?

Hello everyone!

I'd like your thoughts on magnifying lamps; do you use one for your work? Or do you prefer Optivisors?

I tried working with Optivisors but they tend to give me headaches (maybe because I already wear glasses? I'm not sure).

I'm considering buying a magnifying lamp to help me along painting minute details; however when searching on the Internet I got really lost with the amount of options!

If you are using one, what would be your recommendation?

I'm considering the following parameters :

What are your favourite burnishers?

I do tend to 'collect' painting stuff so will post some pics when they are all gathered in one place!

The other thing is you can use found stones and other smooth objects as burnishers, as long as you test them thoroughly first so they don't streak. Or - just burnish indirectly through parchment paper/greaseproof paper/baking paper/thin tracing paper at first and save the direct burnishing for the specifically made art material ones.
