Gorgeous Gemmy Gopi 💎
Hi Everyone 🙌💖🙌 from a very grey Sussex, here’s a couple of things to brighten your day (I hope!) firstly the progress on my Gopi face and secondly another image I found of this similar subject which has more of the body and all of the arms in & I think the jewellery & clothes maybe easier to see.
My work is covered in real gems pearls in varying shapes and sizes that have needed a fair bit of sanding to fit in place, green and red Onyx & Garnets so far I’m now working on her necklaces. She’s very opulent but I felt she should be to honour the subject matter. She’s completely gilded some raised and some flat, her face, arms & feathers are painted and everything else is shell gold.

@Sara Yes - it's in one of my (many) books and when I come across it again I'll post it here so we'll have a little comparative study of all the versions of this work! In the meantime, here's a version I did, she's called Rosebald (note the grey stain in the rose which I am just ignoring, it's part of the process of being hands-on and touching your own work which I think is important):
