A flight of stairs can be straight up and down, turn corners, cuddly and Greek like the ones shown here, sharp and angular, rich and carpeted like a miniature painting, long and winding and meandering for theatrical entrances and even spiral. We'll explore pop-up staircases in this book that can be unfolded along a real stairway to form a set of stairs in itself.
There will actually be several staircases in this fold-out accordion book. You will need a larger size of white or off-white paper, preferably A2, so you can cut long lengths from it. You can still work with smaller sizes of paper, but it will take you longer to put everything together into the accordion fold.
Class includes a bespoke handmade leather envelope-flap cover to paint and free postage to anywhere in the world. Sent separately depending on production schedules. Make your own library of handmade Islamic style books!
