We need to recognise these poisonous plants so we know what we’re dealing with. One person’s poison is another person’s medicine.
Also known as the Dutchman's Pipe Cactus, Princess of the Night or Night-Blooming Cereus, it is indeed a type of cactus. It is a rare flower that rarely blooms, and only then at night. It's also used in some traditional medicine. It has an unearthly, beautiful glow - we'll do this in watercolours for this class, as well as in oil paint in a separate class to explore its effects.
