Hi, I'm hannah!
Hello everybody! I'm Hannah Charlton, in Spokane, Washington, USA. I make Gothic style miniatures on vegan parchment, using gouache, pens, and gold ink. I studied art and art history at Whitworth University but am mostly self-taught in miniature painting.
I'm so happy to learn that there is a community of miniaturists like this! I'm excited to learn about everybody's work and to learn best practices for keeping one's eyes, hands, and lower back healthy.
This is a piece from my series based on The Book of the City of Ladies by Christine de Pizan: the witches Manto, Medea, and Circe.

@Hannah Charlton That is a wonderful illustration. How many illuminations did Testard create, and are they published or on view somewhere? I've researched Christine de Pizan's The Book of the City of Ladies. It was in part a response to Boccaccio's depictions of women in Famous Women.
